The Old Firm derby burst into life in the very first minute.

Celtic took just 21 seconds to open the scoring against Rangers as Daizen Maeda bagged a bizarre goal.

The Old Firm derby burst into life in the very first minute as Celtic stunned the Ibrox crowd.

Joe Hart hit a clearance, with Maeda and James Tavernier running onto the loose ball.

The Rangers defender attempted to clear the ball, but his effort ricocheted off Maeda and into the back of the net.

Jack Butland had little chance in goal as he was almost caught off guard with the deflected strike.

Tavernier couldn't believe what transpired as the visitors celebrated their early goal.

Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, Pat Nevin said: "I've seen some incredible stuff in my life, I can't believe what I've seen."

Maeda's strike is the fastest goal in the Scottish Premiership this season.
