A list of the players who have played the most minutes in 2023 has been revealed and it makes for interesting reading.
The year is coming to a close, with an eye-catching statistic revealing which players in Europe have played the most minutes.
And a Premier League star in the shape of Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes tops the list, having played a whopping 5,748 minutes from 66 matches in 2023.
He's not the only top flight player from England in the top ten as a shock Manchester City player also features.

Manuel Akanji is ranked sixth, having played 5,049 minutes from 61 games in 2023.
Feyenoord's David Hancko, Real Madrid's Antonio Rudiger and Bodo/Glimt's Patrick Berg are ranked second, third and fourth respectively. They've played 5,248, 5,223 and 5,141 minutes respectively.
Dusan Tadic is ranked fifth as the Fenerbahce man has played 5,050 minutes.
Arthur Vermeeren, Federico Valverde, William Pacho and Nemanja Gudelj complete the top ten.

Callum McGregor (4,896), Declan Rice (4,871) and Erling Haaland (4,782) to name but a few are among the other players who have racked up the most minutes in 2023.
