Bayern Munich made unwanted history during their dismal Champions League clash against Lazio.
After their disappointing 3-0 defeat by Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga on Saturday, Bayern were looking to bounce back with a win against Lazio in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
However, Thomas Tuchel’s men were stunned at the Stadio Olimpico after a penalty from Ciro Immobile sealed a 1-0 win for the hosts.
Bayern also had defender Dayot Upamecano sent off after a reckless challenge which led to Immobile’s winning penalty.

After the match, it was revealed by OptaJoe that Bayern broke an unwanted record.
On social media, they wrote: “Bayern Munich had 17 shots against Lazio this evening, but none were on target - this is the most shots by any side on record (from 2003-04) in a UEFA Champions League fixture without one being on target.”
Speaking after the match, a frustrated Tuchel said: “We're frustrated and angry about the defeat. I think we lost the game, I'm not sure Lazio won it.
“We did everything we could to fall behind, making errors and losing confidence. (There was) no need for Upamecano to go in like that. It's not wild or intentional - but just block the shot.”

He added: “We started well, had a chance in the first minute and then with Harry Kane and then with Jamal Musiala. We had the game under control in the first half.
“But in the second our performance dropped inexplicably. We made too many individual errors and made our opponents stronger and we lost concentration. We lost our rhythm. It was completely our responsibility. We lost a game today that in the first half looked like we could not lose it.”
Bayern will be back in Bundesliga action this weekend when they take on VfL Bochum on Sunday afternoon.
