However, there is one player that Arsenal fans are not happy with because of their performance in the win, and they've made their frustrations known online.
Despite joining in the summer in a deal reportedly worth worth up to £31.6m including add-ons, Mikel Merino has failed to make his mark art Arsenal, and fans have had enough.
Reacting to his performance during the match on Wednesday, one fan wrote: "Merino moves like he’s got cement in his boots. I’ve had enough of these bouncers, give me footballers man

Another added: "Merino is up there for one of the most shocking emirates era signings ever.
While one wrote: "Honestly the sight of merino and just seeing him round around do nothing gets on my nerves
And one fan joked: "Mikel Arteta has had more touches than Merino tonight, Arteta retired 12 years ago."
Since joining the Gunners in the summer, Merino has made 15 appearances in all competitions, scoring one goal during the Premier League match with leaders Liverpool.

After securing the win on Wednesday night, Arsenal will have to wait until after Thursday's London clash between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United before finding out who they will face in the next round.
The Carabao Cup semi-final draw will take place immediately after Thursday's match, with Liverpool and Newcastle United also awaiting their opponents after winning their matches on Wednesday.
Speaking after the match, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta was critical of his side's performance, telling Sky Sports: "We started the game in a way we didn't want, conceding a really poor goal to give them hope and energy.

"We lacked some fluidity, especially in wide areas. So in the second half we made some changes and looked like much more of a threat."
