Though he hasn't been able to break into Southgate's senior team, with Scotland considering an attempt to lure him away from the England national team.
According to the Daily Record, Scotland are set to test Gordon's resolve in a bid to switch his international allegiance.

Gordon, who has 16 caps at U21 level, was named Player of the Tournament in the summer after helping England to glory in the European U21 Championship.

Southgate, meanwhile, insists the door is '100 per cent open' for the players not in the squad as he mentioned Raheem Sterling, who has once again missed out on the England squad.
