His talents caught the eye of Argentina, who he is eligible to play for through his mother, and they moved quickly to stop him committing to Spain.
That saw Garnacho jet off to South America to be part of Argentina's squad for March's World Cup qualifiers with Venezuela and Ecuador.
He even took a picture with Lionel Messi before returning to Carrington to train with Cristiano Ronaldo.
After scoring a hat-trick against Norwich City last month, Ronaldo gave his match ball to Garnacho who then called him the 'GOAT' on Instagram.
