The latest edition of FIFA is soon to be released with EA set to make the game available for purchase in just over a week’s time.
This year’s version represents the end of an era for fans as the game will be rebranded next year. It’ll then be known as “EA Sports FC” rather than FIFA.
FIFA, the football governing body who have long partnered with EA, are set to make their own game to rival EA Sports FC.
Fifa 23 release date: When does game come out?
EA Play members will be able to play FIFA 23 from September 27th thanks to early access. EA’s remaining customers will be able to purchase the game on September 30th.

There are a number of new features being added to the game this year too which will excite FIFA fans.
The Chemistry System is being revamped, women’s club football is being added, and for the first time ever cross-play will be available on online game modes.
In the build-up to the game’s release, EA have also revealed their new player ratings for this year’s edition.
5 players have been rated at 91 this year, the highest initial rating in this year’s game – Karim Benzema, Robert Lewandowski, Kevin de Bruyne, Lionel Messi, and cover star Kylian Mbappe.

They are closely followed by the likes of Mo Salah, Virgil van Dijk, Manuel Neuer and Thibaut Courtois – all rated at 90.
This year’s FIFA edition of course coincides with the winter World Cup taking place in Qatar later this year.
A special version of Ultimate Team is usually launched for the World Cup, and EA’s promise of a ‘limited-time FIFA World Cup FUT Hero Player Item’ for Ultimate Edition buyers would suggest it’ll return this year.
So, make sure to save the date. FIFA 23 hits the shelves on Friday 30th September.
