Instead of keeping clean sheets, Ben was in charge of trying to make clean trims as he made the trip to local eBay small business Salvatores Barber Shop in Bristol.
However, Ben may want to go back between the sticks sooner rather than later after his afternoon spell of being a barber. For his first (and ultimately last) customer, he began by spraying Ross’ (one of Salvatorie’s regular local customers) hair so much that it looked like he’d just stepped foot out of the swimming pool.

If you thought that was bad, when it came to using the razor, within 5 seconds, owner Salvatore had to step in and save Ross after he was left with a massive bald spot on their head - It’s safe to say that Ben wouldn’t cut it as a barber!
The former Man United and Watford goalkeeper then invited Salvatore and his family to the Memorial Stadium, home of League One side Bristol Rovers for a kickabout.
Ben took Salvatore’s family on in a crossbar challenge and whilst the recently retired keeper struggled in the challenge, Salvatore’s son, a semi-pro footballer managed to hit the crossbar first, much to Ben’s frustration.

In addition to this, eBay funded in-stadium advertising for Salvatores Barber Shop that will be displayed at all Bristol Rovers home games this season. This is in support of eBay’s Small Businesses United partnership with the EFL to support small businesses and their local communities.
eBay in partnership with the EFL are supporting small businesses that help power the 72 Football League clubs across the country. eBay are donating in-stadium advertising spaces such as match-day hoardings, programme ads and much more to local small businesses throughout the season with the aim of helping these businesses continue to thrive in their local communities.
