Erling Haaland spoke from the heart after breaking the Premier League goals record for a single season against West Ham on Wednesday night.
Haaland scored the second in a 3-0 win, with Nathan Ake and Phil Foden also on target as City returned to the top of the table courtesy of their game in hand.
The Norwegian sensation got on the end of a delightfully weighted pass from Jack Grealish and dinked the ball over the onrushing Lukasz Fabianski for a record-shattering goal.
It was Haaland's 51st strike overall and 35th goal of the season in the Premier League, beating the previous tally of 34 from legendary pair Andy Cole Alan Shearer, who did it in 42 games back in the 1990's.

Haaland did it in his first 31 games in the English top flight and still has a further five fixtures to add to his ridiculous total.
The 22-year-old received a guard of honour from City players and coaches as he exited the Etihad Stadium pitch and footage emerged of him giving a speech inside the dressing room.
With his hair taken down, Haaland kept it short and sweet but it was clear how much such a feat meant to him.

"I don't know what more to say but I'm really happy and thank you guys so much!" Haaland told his teammates.
City were frustrated by a stern Hammers backline in the first half but broke the deadlock early in the second half through the returning Ake, before Haaland got the goal he desperately wanted.
And it turns out that Grealish also wanted to go down in history by laying on the assist.

“Of course I knew about it, we tried to create the chances to score goals, but they didn't make it easy, they came to defend for 90 minutes," Haaland told Sky Sports afterwards.
“Me and Jack spoke before the game, he said he wanted to give me the assist for the record-breaking goal. Perfect ball from Jack.”
Haaland has provided plenty of entertainment in interviews as well as on the pitch in his debut campaign at City and did just that again when he revealed his plan of action going into the clash against hometown club Leeds on Saturday.

He explained: “I'm going to wake up tomorrow and think about trying to get three points against Leeds...
“I cannot keep thinking about these records or else I would become crazy. I will go home, play some video games, eat something, then sleep…”
Haaland could still break another long-lasting record - Dixie's Dean haul of 63 strikes in a top flight season for Everton 1927-28 - as he may well end up playing a further nine games in all competitions.
