England fans on social media have already had enough of one player who started during the Three Lions’ 2-0 victory against Albania in match day one of qualification for the 2026 World Cup.
The evening marked Thomas Tuchel’s first game in charge of the side despite him being appointed as England’s head coach back in October 2024.
Debutant Myles Lewis-Skelly opened the scoring on the 20-minute mark after he took full advantage of a sumptuous pass by Jude Bellingham.

The Arsenal man became the youngest player to score on his Three Lions debut at just 18 years and 176 days.
And the home side doubled their lead on 77 minutes when Declan Rice picked out Harry Kane who made no mistake to net his 70th goal of his international career.
Despite it being a relatively routine evening for England at Wembley, fans were still keen to point out one player who failed to impress.

Manchester City’s Phil Foden started the game on the right of a front three alongside Kane and Marcus Rashford but failed to make a positive impact on proceedings before he was replaced by Jarrod Bowen with 13 minutes of the match still to play.
Fans gave their thoughts on social media.
One said: "Perhaps times up now for Foden, never seen him have a good England game no skill no energy and no creativity what does he give?"

Another added: "I'm not just saying it because of agenda but genuinely what does Foden offer to this team?"
A third commented: "There is actually not a single justifiable reason why Phil Foden is playing RW over Jarrod Bowen."
While a fourth explained: "Bellingham is what you lot thought Foden would be."
A fifth exclaimed: "I’m begging Palmer and Saka are back the next time England announce a squad.

"I cannot take watching ‘Foden’ anymore."
Foden's consistently impressive showings for Man City have not been replicated often enough in an England shirt for many. In last summer's Euros he failed to register a single goal or assist despite the side reaching the final.
England return to action on Monday when they will face Latvia at Wembley.
