Two England players are set to make history should they feature against Serbia in the Euro 2024 opener on Sunday.
Gareth Southgate’s men kick off their Euro 2024 campaign against Serbia at the Arena AufSchalke in Gelsenkirchen.
Two players almost certain to start on Sunday evening are skipper Harry Kane and No.1 shot-stopper Jordan Pickford.

Indeed, should Kane feature against Dragan Stojkovic’s side, he will become England’s record appearance maker at major tournaments, surpassing Ashley Cole’s 22.
The Bayern Munich forward first featured for the Three Lions at a tournament in a dismal Euro 2016 campaign that saw Roy Hodgson’s men infamously knocked out by Iceland in the last-16.
He has since captained England to the 2018 World Cup semi-final, the 2020 Euro final and the 2022 World Cup quarter-final.

Meanwhile, Pickford is set to equal Peter Shilton’s record of 20 goalkeeper appearances at the World Cup and Euro finals.
England are classed as favourites, alongside World Cup finalists France and Portugal.
"We've earned the right to be, I guess, classed as one of the favourites," Kane said. "Ultimately, we're here to win it. And there will be nothing better for us and the nation itself if we do that."

The Euros would be a first career trophy for Kane, whose move to Bayern Munich last summer unexpectedly failed to produce silverware in his maiden season.
"I think winning a major tournament with England would be one of the pinnacles of anyone's career so that is the aim," he said.
"For me personally, the trophies haven't quite happened yet but it just makes me more determined and hungry to go out there and do that."
