Harry Kane will continue to break records as he captains England against Serbia at Euro 2024.
The 2024 European Championship kicked off on Friday night with hosts Germany delivering a dominant 5-1 victory over Scotland.
England begin their campaign on Sunday night as they travel to the Arena AufSchalke, home to second-tier German side Schalke, to face Serbia, ahead of Denmark and Slovenia next week.

They enter the tournament as one of the favourites to lift the trophy as Gareth Southgate’s side hopes to avenge their penalty shootout defeat to Italy in the Euro 2020 final.
Crucial to England’s success at the Euros will be captain Harry Kane, who leads the attack as striker for the Three Lions.
And as he steps on to the pitch on Sunday night, Kane is set to break three records for his national team.
The first, is that of the most appearances for England at the European Championships, which is currently tied between Kane and Gary Neville, who both have 11 appearances.

But Sunday’s match will be Kane’s twelfth appearance, making him the sole record holder.
The game against Serbia will also be Kane’s 23rd England match at a major tournament, again making him the sole record holder as he breaks the tie between himself, Ashley Cole and Raheem Sterling, who despite impressing at the previous Euros, failed to make the 2024 squad.
Finally, Kane will surpass Steven Gerrard, David Beckham, Bobby Moore, Bryan Robson and Billy Wright as he becomes the only player to captain England in four major tournaments.
Kane has led the Three Lions in the 2018 World Cup, the 2020 Euros and the 2022 World Cup, where England reached the quarter-final.

Speaking ahead of the match, Kane said: “I'm really looking forward to this tournament.
“Back in 2018 the Golden Boot was an amazing achievement. We want to win the European Championships and if I win the Golden Boot along the way then I'm obviously helping my team.
"We have some great goal scorers in the team with players in form who have had fantastic seasons. We're excited to get going."

And, with England’s last major silverware coming in the 1966 World Cup, the star striker is confident that this tournament will finally end England’s 58 year wait for a trophy.
He added: “Winning a trophy for your country would be the pinnacle of every career.
"It hasn't quite happened yet, but it makes me more determined and hungry to go out and do that, starting with this summer.
"We have the opportunity to go out and do that and I'm looking forward to trying to make that happen."
