There is a long and strange list of items England fans are not allowed to bring into Euro 2024 grounds.

There is a long and strange list of items England fans are not allowed to bring into Euro 2024 grounds.

On Monday England’s 26-man squad travelled to Germany ahead of the first European Championship game against Serbia at the Arena AufSchalke in Gelsenkirchen on June 16.

Gareth Southgate’s men will then face a game against Denmark in Frankfurt, followed by an encounter with Slovenia in Cologne.

And fans hoping to follow the Three Lions at the tournament have been presented with an extensive list of items that will be banned from all 10 of the tournament stadia.

As per the Sun, UEFA’s ban on items covers “liquids — drinks, e-cigarette refills, etc — and food of any kind, including fruit, such as apples, bananas, oranges, etc.”

Moreover, punishments will include “expulsion from the stadium with a report to the police or a stadium ban for the whole or part of Euro 2024”.

Supporters will also be banned from smoking and vaping from the grounds, while Cannabis will also be forbidden in stadiums despite new German laws legalising marijuana.

As with most major football encounters, flares, fireworks and whistles are also on the banned list, alongside megaphones and vuvuzela horns.

Nazi flags will also not be let into the stadium, as well as material supporting either side of the conflict in Gaza.

Ahead of the competition, Southgate said Euro 2024 could be his last chance to win a trophy with England.

Speaking to the German publication Bild, Southgate, whose contract is due to expire in December, said he is likely to leave his post unless England win a trophy in Germany.

"If we don't win, I probably won't be here anymore. Then it might be the last chance," he said. "If we want to be a big team and I want to be a top coach, then you have to deliver in the big moments."
