Argentina World Cup hero Emiliano Martinez has been the talk of the town for over a week now but attention has turned to his toes rather than his rinsing of Kylian Mbappe.
Martinez played an integral role in Argentina's third World Cup triumph, winning the Golden Glove after a series of huge displays in between the sticks and celebrating with a lewd gesture in the presentation.
He saved Kingsley Coman's penalty in the shoot-out and also got in the head of Aurelien Tchouameni, who also missed as La Albiceleste emerged victorious.
The controversial Aston Villa shotstopper also made a sensational save to deny a Kolo Mouani winner in the 123rd minute and has got a tattoo on the exact spot on his left leg.

It contains the World Cup trophy, three stars and the quote, "Que la pasión te lleve a la gloria" - which translates to "May passion lead you to glory."
Martinez posted pictures of his new ink on his Instagram but everyone was talking about something else in the image and the fact that only four toes are visible in the Adidas sliders.
One user wrote: "Dude, does he only have four toes?"

Another said: "His toes are moving MAD!!!
A third added: "Bro has 4 toes".
A fourth commented: "Is he missing a toe on his right foot?"
A fifth opined: "EMI MARTINEZ’S TOES ARE THE WORST TOES I HAVE EVER SEEN"

A sixth: "Martinez's toes are vile."
Meanwhile an Argentina fan also got a tattoo to mark Martinez' heroics, though she had to have a mistake covered after the writing first said 'Dibu Fernandez'.
Martinez's nickname with the Argentina national team is 'Dibu' but the only Fernandez in the ranks is Benfica star Enzo.
She added to the ink with a silhouette of Martinez making a save, above the three stars she got tatted on her back.

Martinez has caused a huge stir with his antics in the aftermath of Argentina's World Cup, specifically his trolling of Mbappe despite his hat-trick in the final.
There have been rumours that new Villa boss Unai Emery isn't keen on him and is willing to offload him after he said he would talk to him about his behaviour.
"When you have big emotion, sometimes it is difficult to control it," Emery said.

"I will speak to him next week about some celebrations but I respect that he is now under the national team and when he will be with us, he is our responsibility then we can speak about it. We are so proud of him. He won the World Cup with his national team and it's amazing."
