Dominik Szoboszlai could be on his way to Liverpool this summer with the Merseyside club now strong favourites to sign him from RB Leipzig.
The Hungary international has a £60m release clause in his contract at Leipzig, which is due to expire at midnight on Friday.
The Times claims Liverpool plan to trigger the clause after already holding talks with the midfielder's representatives over a potential move to Anfield.

The Athletic report that Liverpool are 'favourites' to sign Szoboszlai after Newcastle pulled out of the race for the Hungarian.
"After the deal initially looked difficult to do following a meeting earlier this week, the dynamic has shifted in the past 24 hours and Liverpool appear to have been given confidence that it is possible," read The Athletic's report.
Szoboszlai is already a household name in Hungary as captain of the national side.
And he has unlikely fan in American rapper Tony Yayo, a former member of G-Unit which also included 50 Cent.

At a concert in Budapest last year, Yayo – real name Marvin Bernard – was spotted wearing a shirt with Szoboszlai's name on the back. Check out the video below.
Hungarian outlet Nemzeti Sport contacted Szoboszlai's father, Zsolt, to get his take on the concert.
"Next time I see my son, I might ask him how popular he is even for an American musician," said his father.

Szoboszlai is seemingly open to a move to Liverpool, having previously praised Reds boss Jurgen Klopp.
When asked if he would consider joining Liverpool even without Champions League football next season, Szoboszlai told Index: "Since we just mentioned Klopp and next year Liverpool will only be in the Europa League.
"But believe me, I don’t know anything about liverpool scouts at our matches, and if they were there, I have no idea who was being watched.
"It would certainly be a special experience to work under Klopp, as it would be under [Pep] Guardiola or [Jose] Mourinho."
