A compilation of Mesut Ozil's "1000 IQ assists" has been doing the rounds and shows just what an intelligent player the German was on his day.
Ozil is now coming towards the end of his career and looks to have played his final game for Turkish side Fenerbahce, who do not see a future for him.

It's sad to see but with all the negativity surrounding Ozil at the moment, someone on YouTube has kindly reminded fans what a gifted footballer the 33-year-old is.
"1000 IQ assists" might seem a confusing title at first but watch the video and it's easy to see why that phrase has been coined.

The video is 42 seconds of Ozil magic for Real Madrid, Germany, Arsenal and Fenerbahce, as he finds teammates with slick through balls, stunning reverse passes and fancy flicks.
The one for Emmanuel Adebayor sums up everything about Ozil. He orchestrates the move with one-twos and then when he's in behind, unselfishly rolls the ball for the Togo striker to tap into an empty net.
There is still the feeling that Ozil is still massively underappreciated in the game and yet this clip only represents a small sample of his innate vision and creativity.

At Arsenal, Ozil registered 54 assists and was one of the league's chief playmakers. Things ended sour when he was completely frozen out by manager Mikel Arteta, leading to his move to Fener on a free transfer.
After 37 appearances and nine goals, he now finds himself in the very same predicament.
The World Cup winner, along with teammate Ozan Tufan, was axed from the first-team squad back in March following a verbal altercation with the club's interim manager Ismail Kartal.

Incoming manager Jorge Jesus does not see Ozil in his plans and has told him he is surplus to requirements as he has "had his time".
in terms of a next move, Ozil's agent, Dr Erkut Sogut, has surprisingly hinted the former Germany international will turn his attentions to competitive gaming with FIFA and Fortnite.
