Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have been ruthlessly slammed by furious fans in one key area after the Reds played out a lacklustre 0-0 draw against Chelsea on Tuesday evening.
The Reds travelled to Stamford Bridge for their Premier League clash, with Klopp starting midfield trio Curtis Jones, Fabinho and Jordan Henderson.
Klopp, who has faced mounting pressure over Liverpool’s form this season, was without the likes of Thiago, Luis Diaz and Virgil van Dijk in the matchday squad.

And the Liverpool boss also made the bold call to drop key first-team players Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson for the match.
Fans were far from impressed with the “astonishingly poor” Liverpool midfield and flocked to social media to vent their frustration, with supporters calling for a serious “rebuild” in the summer.
“Nobody playing in midfield should be starting for Liverpool anymore,” one fan said.

Someone else added: “You can’t trust this Liverpool midfield to hold their own house keys.”
“The Liverpool midfield is astonishingly poor. Can hardly get two passes together. Some work needed in the summer,” a third Twitter user posted.
Another tweeted: “Liverpool probably have the worst off-ball midfield setup in the league. Leicester come close but overall think Liverpool’s is the worst.”
A fifth commented: “Liverpool need a rebuild. They have great attacking options. But the midfield is awful, defence isn’t much better (due to Klopp’s tactics also).”

And a sixth wrote: “Fabinho been terrible. Henderson been terrible. Jones been terrible. That’s the whole Liverpool midfield, paint me shocked.”
Liverpool’s disappointing 0-0 result against Chelsea is another blow in their pursuit for a Premier League top-four finish, with Klopp’s men in eighth place after 28 matches.
The Reds are seven points adrift of fourth-place Tottenham, who were held to a 1-1 draw against Everton on Monday, in their pursuit for Champions League football next season.
Liverpool will now return to action on 9th April when they host league leaders Arsenal at Anfield, with kick-off slated for 4:30pm UK time.
