Harry Kane suffered a nightmare debut as RB Leipzig stunned Bayern Munich on Saturday.

Bayern faced Leipzig in the DFL Supercup final ahead of the 2023/24 Bundesliga season.

The German giants snapped up Kane in transfer worth up to £100 million, with the star forward making his debut following his transfer from Tottenham.

He entered the fray just after the hour mark as he replaced Mathys Tel but was unable to inspire his new team to victory.

The Spanish winger opened the scoring in the third minute, then doubled his side's lead in stunning fashion.

He produced an outrageous turn to skip past Matthijs de Ligt before poking the ball into the back of the net.

Olmo completed his hat-trick in the 68th minute after converting a penalty.

Speaking after his side's defeat, Thomas Tuchel said: "I have no explanation at the moment. We're conceding the easiest of goals.

"It's like we haven't done anything for 4 weeks. What we've shown today has nothing to do with how we trained, the form, the atmosphere. It's alarming, just alarming."

Leipzig, meanwhile, open their Bundesliga campaign next Saturday when they face Bayer Leverkusen.

As for Bayern, the defending champions take on Werder Bremen next Friday.
