Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes surprised a persistent fan after he tweeted at him for 300 days.
Bruno Fernandes is not alien to idea of hardwork and persistence paying off, as in sports, that is what is required from athletes at the elite level.
Fernandes rewarded a United fan who had tried to get his attention by messaging him everyday for 300 days by promising him a signed shirt on a video call.

United's #8 responded to the fan on Twitter in February, saying:
"I saw you tweet (me for) around 280 days and said to myself that if he (reaches) 300 days then I will send him a shirt!,"
However, a month and a half later, the Portugal international went the extra mile, and video called the fan to present the signed shirt he would send him.

"I appreciate all the support you've been giving me, obviously for the club too, and that's why I want to give you my shirt," Fernandes told the fan, with their meeting being caught on camera on either side of the call, and all the footage being editing into a single video shared on Fernandes' social channels.
The fan was surprised and taken aback by the call, expressing:
"I can't even express the feeling, Bruno, I'm so happy,"
The shocked fan was also invited to Old Trafford by Fernandes, where he could be wearing his signed shirt to very soon.

"One day I'll be there. I want to see you playing for us for many years to come, I should be able to witness you play there."
Bruno Fernandes and Manchester United currently sit at 3rd in the Premier League table, with a top 4 crunch match on Sunday evening against 5th placed Newcastle sure to be crucial in the race for Champions League football.
Fernandes has been having a productive season for United, growing into his new role under Erik ten Hag which has garnered 10 goals and 12 assists in all competitions.
