Blake Lively, wife of Wrexham co-owner Ryan Reynolds, sparked debate online as to why she was absent for both the club's open-top bus parade and the prestigious Met Gala.
Both Reynolds and fellow co-owner Rob McElhenney were present for the Red Dragons' title celebrations after securing automatic promotion to League Two, ending the Welsh club's 15-year hiatus from the Football League.
This meant that Reynolds, who has attended the Met Gala alongside Lively before, was absent for the event costing $50,000 (£40,000) a ticket.
It had been considered that Lively would be flying over to the United Kingdom to be involved in Wrexham's celebrations instead but, after it was revealed she wasn't at both ceremonies, the actress took to Instagram to explain her absences.

Pictured using a breast pump, Lively explained that she skipped the Met Gala for childcare reasons having given birth to the couple's fourth child earlier this year.
The pair are notoriously private when it comes to their family life and are still yet to announce the newborn's name and sex.
Having attended the Racecourse Ground as recently as March, the Gossip Girl star was initially sceptical about her husband's business venture, according to Reynolds, but, 'became more obsessed with Wrexham' than her husband.
"We were laying in bed after the Wembley match, and she's like, 'I'm now as obsessed if not more than you are with this club and this community and this town and everything it represents and where it can go,'" he shared with Entertainment Tonight last year.

"She's as obsessed as I am. She's already looking at the schedule throughout the year, wondering which matches she can attend, so it's pretty great."
The Red Dragons are already being backed by many to secure consecutive promotions next season and Reynolds has targeted more success for the club.
“Ultimately, like any business you want it to self-perpetuate and continue growing," the Deadpool actor said. "You don’t want to lose money but I don’t think either of us are in this to make money either. So it’s just about growing the best possible club and finding value in any place we can, whether that’s financial or emotional: sometimes that’s indistinguishable.”
