Two of Barcelona’s big money summer signings, Robert Lewandowski and Jules Kounde linked up beautifully to score a stunning goal against Sevilla.
The Catalan giants were in action on Saturday evening as they took on Julen Lopetegui’s side.
Fellow new signing Raphinha scored the opener in the 21st minute after he was in the right place at the right time to head in a rebound from close range after Lewandowski’s shot was blocked. That was the former Leeds United winger’s first goal for the Camp Nou club.
In the 35th minute, Barcelona scored their second goal of the night and it was a thing of beauty.

Former Sevilla man Kounde picked up the ball and pinged a pin point pass in the direction of Lewandowski.
The Polish striker expertly controlled the ball on the chest, before cooly dispatching a volley into the back of the net. A beautifully crafted goal by Xavi’s men.
Kounde then provided his second assist of the night as he played a major part in Eric Garcia’s goal in the 50th minute to make it 3-0 to the visitors.

Sevilla had no answers as Barcelona held on for a comfortable win. As a result of the victory, the Catalan club are now in second place in the La Liga table with ten points, two points adrift of leaders and reigning champions, Real Madrid.
Kounde was signed this summer for a big fee amid Barcelona’s well documented financial issues.
Xavi has previously spoken about the quality that the French defender possesses.

The Barcelona boss said: “When we talk about Kounde, we're speaking about a player that can mark an era at Barca.
“He can do everything, play out from the back, has personality, leadership, can play in any defensive position. We've made a great signing.”
On Lewandowski, Xavi said: “I think Lewandoski is an extraordinary player. He is a natural leader and a born worker. He is an example for the squad.

“Apart from the goals, I want to highlight Lewandowski's timing. He has the ball and protects it often.”
Barcelona will now have their eyes on Wednesday night’s match against Viktoria Plzen as they look to get their Champions League campaign off to a perfect start.
