Barcelona Women's player Ingrid Engen has been praised for her reaction to a fan who threw a shirt at her, demanding an autograph.
The Barca and Norway midfielder, who has recently signed a new contract with the Catalan club, was greeting fans after the side's recent 5-1 win over Valencia ready to sign shirts and pose for selfies.
But as she was walking towards the stands, Engen was struck in the face by a shirt. Clearly one fan had become a little too eager in asking Engen for her signature.

The 24-year-old paused for a moment before duly throwing the shirt back into the stand without signing it. Her actions have prompted praise from some on social media who believe fans are becoming too 'entitled' and demanding. Asking players for signatures and shirts has become more commonplace in modern football – although usually it passes by without a hitch.
The person posting the video of Engen: "Might be an unpopular opinion but I’m so relieved she threw it back without signing it. Some fans are becoming so rude and entitled, that kind of behaviour can’t be rewarded."

Another quote tweeted and said: Well said, good on Ingrid Engen. Its clear now that some are sadly viewing games as mainly meet-and-greets they are entitled to, not elite-level sports matches to enjoy. Sad because those fans ruin it for others who are better behaved."
Engen has 56 caps for Norway and signed for Barcelona from German club Wolfsburg in 2021. She's scored two goals in 10 Primera Division appearances for the Spanish side this season. She has not yet commented on the incident.
