Arsenal have been dealt a significant blow over the fitness of William Saliba ahead of their clash against Liverpool.
Mikel Arteta's side travel to Anfield on Saturday as they hope to take one step closer to the Premier League title with a win over Jurgen Klopp's men.
Meanwhile, Liverpool will be eager to bounce back from their humiliating 4-1 defeat to Manchester City on the weekend, as they spy a late surge to finish inside the top four.

However, the Gunners will be without 21-year-old defender Saliba, who has been ruled out of action.
Saliba injury update
Saliba has enjoyed a breakout season at the Emirates, forming a formidable partnership alongside Gabriel Magalhaes in the heart of defence.

However, the Frenchman limped off injured during Arsenal's Europa League defeat to Sporting Lisbon on March 16 after landing awkwardly on his back, and has not featured for the club since.
Prior to his injury, Saliba started every league match of the season, but he has now missed consecutive 4-1 victories against Crystal Palace and Leeds, with Rob Holding filling in at centre-back.
Having been unable to train for over a fortnight, Saliba is now set to miss his side's trip to Merseyside, according to The Sun.
However, Arteta spoke positively about the injury recently, ruling out the prospect of surgery.

“Back injuries are tricky but William and the medical staff are positive about it and he is so willing to be back in the team,” said the Spaniard.
Arsenal's clash against Liverpool marks the first of three daunting fixtures in April.
The Gunners must face title-rivals Manchester City at the Etihad before hosting Chelsea three days later, in a schedule which will undoubtedly define who lifts the trophy come August.
