Arsenal are weighing up a January move for Orlando City forward Facundo Torres - and the recommendation reportedly comes from a highly acclaimed source.
Arsenal attempted to strengthen their attacking areas in the summer transfer window. They did so by bringing in Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City, and Marquinhos from Sao Paulo.
The latter of those signings is a right-sided forward, who is left-footed and can play on either flank.

But the club are still keen on bringing in another attacking option to provide extra competition to Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.
The Gunners duo have been superb this season, helping Arsenal to top the Premier League after 12 games.
But they have started each of those 12 games - and Saka was substituted during Sunday's 5-0 win over Nottingham Forest with injury. He will be assessed, amidst fears that he could miss the World Cup.

Arsenal keen on Facundo Torres
According to the London Evening Standard, the Gunners are set to hold talks with Orlando City over the signing of Torres, who is a Uruguay international.
The MLS has sold some top players to European clubs in recent seasons, including Miguel Almiron and Alphonso Davies, whilst current Leeds star Brendan Aaronson began his career in the division.

Torres could be the next big MLS export. It is claimed that scout Toni Lima has played a role in the Gunners being alerted to the player's talent and potential.
Lima has been involved in the identification of several major stars to come out of South America in recent years, including current PSG star Neymar.
He joined the Gunners in 2021, after leaving Alaves. He has also had spells at Inter Milan and Manchester United, helping the former to sign a 16-year-old Philippe Coutinho from Brazilian side Vasco de Gama.

Arsenal will hope that these connections help them to land Torres, who could provide valuable squad depth for Mikel Arteta and his side as they look to battle on at least two fronts in the Premier League and the Europa League.
