Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Arsenal are monitoring Chelsea target Moises Caicedo after the Brighton midfielder appointed new agents.
Caicedo has starred for the Seagulls in central midfield under both Graham Potter and Roberto De Zerbi this term, and has emerged as one of Brighton's key players.
He also impressed at the World Cup during Ecuador's three games, even though they were knocked out at the group stage.

Speaking last week, De Zerbi reiterated his desire to keep Caicedo at the Amex Stadium but, amid reported interest from Chelsea, was unsure about the player's long-term future.
He explained (quotes via 90min): "Moises is very important to us. It is difficult to change with another player now at this stage. I hope he finishes the season with us, but it's always difficult to be certain.
"When big teams want our players, it's good news for the club. The best solution is that he finishes the season with us and for him, in the summer, it's better then if he changes teams.

"I don't know if he continue to play like this - the last games - it is possible he can leave for another team [in the summer window]."
Now, there is more uncertainty about Caicedo's future path.
Arsenal keen on Caicedo

On his 'Daily Briefing' Substack, he wrote: "Moises Caicedo has new agents now and so Arsenal are the latest club being kept informed on the situation.
"Chelsea have been pushing for weeks and so they remain keen on signing Caicedo. The big issue is Brighton; they want to keep the player."
He earlier tweeted: "Official. Moises Caicedo has picked Futbol Division as new agents - it's now confirmed by agency statement.
"One to watch in the final days of Jan window - Brighton want to keep him but Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal are well informed on Moises situation."

Mikel Arteta's side have already completed two deals in the current window, including the signing of Caicedo's now former Brighton team-mate Leandro Trossard.
It appears that another swoop for a Seagulls player may not be completely out of question - but the Gunners will have to act quickly if they want to secure the player's services, and convincing Brighton to sell will be anything but straightforward.
