Arsenal have contacted the representatives of Fenerbahce wonderkid Arda Guler amid interest from Newcastle, according to a new report.
Guler, 18, has emerged as a key member of Fenerbahce's first team this season, scoring four goals and providing three assists in 19 Turkish Super Lig appearances.
A skilful attacking midfielder that can play on the right or down the centre of the pitch, as well as in a deeper role, the wonderkid has already been entrusted with Fenerbahce's number 10 shirt.

He has also received two caps for the Turkish national team, and is regarded as one of the most promising talents in world football.
Now, both Arsenal and Newcastle have reportedly expressed interest.
Arsenal interested in Guler
According to Turkish-Football and The Guardian writer Emre Sarigul, Arsenal have contacted Guler's family, who represent the player, over a potential summer move.

Now the midfielder is 18 - his birthday was in February - he can now move to a club in the UK, as Brexit rules that would have previously prevented a move now longer apply.
It is claimed by Sarigul that Guler is keen on a move to a top European club, and a move to either Arsenal or Newcastle would ensure that he has the opportunity of playing Champions League football next season.
Furthermore, both clubs are said to want to act early to secure the midfielder's signature due to the anticipated interest in his services.
Earlier this year, he was praised by Italian football legend Andrea Pirlo, who departed as manager of fellow Turkish Super Lig side Fatih Karagumruk in May.

Speaking about the players in Turkey that have impressed him this season, he told Hurriyet: "Arda Guler is a very talented player. He has the potential to play anywhere in the world. He has quality, he can read the game well, and he has great technique.
"If he keeps developing his game, there is no limit to his potential."
