Andy Carroll was involved in an explosive confrontation with a Reading fan following their 1-1 draw at home to Birmingham City on Friday.
Reading were hit with a six-point deduction in midweek and they followed up with that crushing news with an underwhelming draw against Birmingham.
Carroll opened the scoring in the seventh minute, but his early goal was cancelled out by Lukas Jutkiewicz who headed home in the 29th minute.

Reading now find themselves occupying one of the relegation spots in the Championship table, with some fans making their feelings known after the final whistle.
But the former Newcastle United and Liverpool striker took exception to one particular supporter, who appeared to moan about the team's performance.
The 34-year-old approached the Reading fan and launched a verbal attack before applauding the supporters around him

Needless to say, Carroll's exchange with the disgruntled supporter sent social media wild.
One Twitter user argued: "No disagreement at all. It’s testament to the man, he’s gone over to defend the rest of the team even after being thrown under the bus by them."

Carroll has scored seven goals for Paul Ince's team this season as fans will be hoping he can help them stay in the league.

But they have just six league games to survive the drop. The Royals sit in 22nd place, one point behind Queens Park Rangers.
