Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez went to incredible lengths to time-waste during Ajax's huge 2-1 win over PSV on Sunday.
The Amsterdam outfit ran out 2-1 winners in the top of the table clash, with right-back Noussair Mazraoui scoring the winner 15 minutes from time after Mario Gotze had cancelled out Brian Bobbey's opener.
Incredibly, there were NINE minutes of stoppage time signalled in the game and Ajax were holding on to see out a monumental victory that took them above PSV by two points.
But Martinez helped buy his side a little bit of time in the 95th minute with a good old bit of s***housery.
He was caught as he shielded the ball out of play near the by-line and proceeded to throw himself to the turf.
The 24-year-old had theatrically rolled off the pitch, however, and quickly realised he couldn't waste time if he wasn't on it.
He promptly rolled back onto the Philips Stadion pitch, continuing to writhe around in pain and holding his leg.
It didn't take too long before he was fine and back up on his feet and helping his side in the final minutes.
Martinez had actually produced an impressive defensive showing and was the leading Ajax player in a number of key statistics.
The Argentine international, who helped his side win the Copa America in the summer, has caught the eye of Barcelona.
Tuttomercatoweb say the Blaugrana see Martinez as a long-term replacement for legendary defender Gerard Pique.
The former Defensa y Justicia man is also capable of playing as a full-back or in central midfield.
