Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale has been named the most valuable goalkeeper in the world.
The CIES Football Observatory, a research group that focuses on statistical analysis in football, have valued the Arsenal shot-stopper at €79million (£67.5million).
Ramsdale caused a stir back in 2021 when he signed for the Gunners for around £30million, despite having suffered back-to-back relegations with Sheffield United and Bournemouth.

Eyebrows were initially raised over the signing, but the goalkeeper went on to establish himself as Arsenal’s first-choice and one of the Premier League’s most respected goalkeepers.
The 25-year-old’s performances were rewarded back in May when he was offered a lucrative four-year deal. Upon signing the deal, Ramsdale said: "It's crazy to think it's coming up to two years since we did this. I know that you guys weren't totally overexcited about the signing of myself and I totally get it.
"I didn't have any right to come here and expect you to rate me from the get-go. This is a huge club with some great keepers along the way. But, fair play, once I got into the team, I got my chance, I feel like you understood me a lot more. I feel your love and I feel like you feel mine as well.”
