Spurs fans on social media are wondering what happened to Tanguy Ndombele after the club-record signing produced a wonderful individual display for Lyon in their Ligue 1 clash against Nice.
It was confirmed on transfer deadline day that Ndombele had joined former side Lyon on a loan deal until the end of the season.
The 25-year-old, who made 16 appearances for Tottenham in the opening four months of the 2021/22 campaign, struggled to find his feet in North London following a highly-anticipated £63 million move.

But despite a lacklustre spell in the Premier League, where he scored just six times in the league, Ndombele looked rejuvenated for former club Lyon on Saturday.
In fact, French publication L'Equipe, who are known for their harsh ratings, handed the Frenchman an impressive 8/10 for his efforts. You can see a compilation of his performance below.
The midfielder was criticised by some fans for not tracking back during his time in North London but Ndombele covered a total of 10.3km against Jocelyn Gourvennec's side.

He also notched an assist for Karl Toko Ekambi's goal in the second-half, and completed a total of 93% of his passes.
It was an all-round majestic display from the former Amiens player, who started just three times for Tottenham following the arrival of Antonio Conte as head coach in November.
As you can imagine, his display against Lille got fans talking on social media. One fan wrote: "Ndombele playing well simply highlights the huge difference in the standard of football between PL and Ligue 1."

Another said: "One of the most talented players I’ve ever seen in the Premier League. If he had the work ethic to match…"
A third commented: "Not surprised he looks so good in a sizzle reel. He always has done. More interested to see if he's tracking back into positions that help the team in ways that don't directly make him personally look good."
It is believed Lyon have paid a £1.2 million loan fee for Ndombele, with an option to buy fee of £54 million in place if they do decide to make the deal permanent.
