Sergio Perez's father has provided an update on where his future may lie after leaving Red Bull and being left without an F1 seat for 2025.
Perez's exit came as no surprise to F1 fans, with the Mexican's form making his position untenable after finishing behind all Ferrari, McLaren, and Mercedes drivers.
With Max Verstappen winning the championship, Red Bull had to take action and opted for young Kiwi, Liam Lawson to face off against the Dutchman this year.

Perez's future is yet to be confirmed, however, his father revealed there is a serious chance the Mexican could join a new motorsport series in the near future.
Speaking at the Mexico City E-Prix, Perez Sr claimed Formula E could be the perfect place for his son to reignite his career.
“I would never have imagined Formula E and I would be careful because we could have Checo Pérez racing here," Perez Sr told Estadio Deportes.

"Of course, without any problem, [I see him racing here] the category has been around for 11 years, it is very young, today it is number two in the world and within the next five years it will be number one.
"That is why I am here. I am looking forward to what comes next," he added.
This comes just days after Perez publicly addressed his future for the first time.

"My priority is to enjoy myself, to do things I haven’t done, to be with my family," Perez said via Planet F1.
"In the next six months, I will make a decision on what I want for the next step in my career."
When asked about a potential return to Formula 1, the Mexican added: "It’s too early to give an answer as to whether I intend to return to Formula 1.
"Everything happened very quickly at the end of last season, I didn’t expect to leave the team.

"My biggest motivation now is to take my children on a good path and be more present in their lives. I am very excited to be with my family because in F1 you only think about being a better driver, preparing yourself better, you don’t have time for anything else."
