New F1 2025 Drivers' Championship odds have emerged with two surprising details spotted

The latest odds have been revealed.

Updated odds have been released for the F1 2025 Drivers' Championship - and there are several surprising details.

Max Verstappen won his fourth consecutive championship in 2024 with two races to spare, ahead of Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc.

His Red Bull team, however, didn't win the Constructors' Championship for the fourth consecutive season, with McLaren winning the trophy for the first time since 1998.

Ahead of the 2025 season, though, there are a number of surprising details on Oddschecker.

Rather than Verstappen being favourite to win the title again, Norris is instead a narrow favourite at 2/1 ahead of the Red Bull driver, who is at 5/2.

Leclerc is at 9/2, meanwhile, while his new Ferrari team-mate Lewis Hamilton is at 10/1 to win his eighth championship - though is as low as 7/1 elsewhere.

Yuki Tsunoda and Liam Lawson are both at longest odds of 100/1, with both drivers currently representing Racing Bulls.

Sergio Perez isn't featured at all in the betting, despite being under contract with Red Bull for 2025.

He signed a new contract with the team back in June, but the Mexican's future is under serious doubt.

According to reports, Red Bull were due to make a decision on his position within the team after their end-of-season shareholders' meeting in Abu Dhabi on December 9. That decision has not yet been announced.

Throughout much of the season, Perez - who did not finish higher than sixth in any of the final 18 races - was adamant that he would be continuing in 2025, but admitted for the first time after Abu Dhabi that he would hold talks with Red Bull and team principal Christian Horner on whether that would be the case.

He told reporters: "We will see what happens in the coming days. I don't know what is going to happen at the moment.

"I have a contract with the team and I have been talking.

"It's a case of discussing what is the best for everybody moving forwards."
