Eddie Jordan was banned from seeing Michael Schumacher after a strict order was put in place by the Formula 1 legend's family.
On Thursday morning, it was announced that former F1 team owner and pundit Jordan passed away at the age of 76.
The Irishman had been fighting cancer over the last 12 months and peacefully passed away in the early hours of Thursday morning.
A statement from Jordan's family read: "It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Eddie Jordan OBE the ex-Formula 1 team owner, TV pundit and entrepreneur.

"He passed away peacefully with family by his side in Cape Town in the early hours of 20 March 2025."
Back in 2013, the world of F1 was shaken to its core after news emerged that seven-time world champion Schumacher was hospitalised due to a serious accident while skiing.
At the time, the former Ferrari driver was airlifted to a hospital, where he was placed in a medically induced coma until June 2014.
Ever since that day, little to zero updates have been given on Schumacher's condition as his family chose to keep the details private.

Speaking back in 2023, Jordan, who was friends with Schumacher, revealed why he was denied the chance to visit him.
He said to The Sun via OLGB: "Privacy is such a vital aspect to sport, business and your personal life. [Corinna, Schumacher's wife] has set out some rules, I know her very well.
"She's a lovely girl and I knew her when she married Michael so there is a long history of good relations."

Jordan continued: "I made an effort to go see Michael in the early days and Corinna refused, and rightfully so because too many people wanted to go see him.
"Jean Todt was given the privilege to go see him because of how close they were from their time together at Ferrari which is completely understandable.
"I was not able to go see Michael and they said "We love you Eddie and we've been involved with you for a very long time, but we do need privacy and safeguard of Michael"."
