Luke Littler has made his feelings clear on whether he can break Phil Taylor's record of 16 world titles following his World Darts Championship triumph.
Littler produced a remarkable performance to beat Michael van Gerwen 7-3 at Ally Pally on Friday to win his first world title.
The 17-year-old has claimed his first championship at just the second time of asking, having made his debut in last year's competition.

He won a huge prize pot but has been blocked from receiving it.
And he's targeting more world titles and has Taylor's record in sight.
Taylor won 16 world titles during his legendary career and Littler believes he can hunt down that impressive haul in his own career.

"I’ve said previously, if I can win every major title in my career then I’ll be happy. I’d like to add on the world titles, and deep down, if I want to break the record of Phil Taylor, I’ve got the ability to. If I want it, I’m sure I can do it," he said.
Littler, who is also the defending Premier League champion, added: "I just want to try and win as many titles as I can this year.
"I’ve started the year off with one. But just try and add on to that [this year] – maybe win 10, 11 or 12 or even more titles."

Littler is destined to collect many more world titles as he has been tipped to enjoy an illustrious career.
Taylor, who walked away from the oche at the end of the 2024 season, called the teenage phenom a 'breath of fresh' air as he spoke highly of the darts star.
"He really is a breath of fresh air, and he’s given me the enthusiasm to watch darts again because I didn’t watch it for a few years after I retired, I wasn’t interested," he told BBC Radio Four.
