Luke Littler's classmates predicted he was most likely to do one thing as Year 11 award resurfaces

Luke Littler's classmates predicted he was most likely to do one thing as Year 11 award resurfaces

Littler received an award from his classmates predicting that he would go on to do one thing.

Luke Littler's classmates predicted that the darts star would do one thing after he finished Year 11 of high school.

It was just six months after 'The Nuke' finished high school that he was playing in the 2024 World Darts Championship, where he reached the final and changed his life completely.

After a successful 2024 season, which saw him win the Premier League and Grand Slam of Darts, Littler capped it all off by winning the 2025 World Darts Championship, beating Michael van Gerwen 7-3 in the final.

The Brit is now defending champion before he turns 18 - he reaches that particular milestone next Tuesday - and is, unsurprisingly, the youngest-ever champion.

Before he began his journey on the main PDC tour, though, Littler's classmates had one prediction for him - and it wasn't just darts.

He shared on his Instagram that he had been presented with an award in Year 11 as the most likely person to 'be famous'.

He wrote: "Can't forget this is my one and only award at school."

In an interview, Littler revealed that he didn't have any GCSEs, but did pass his sport course.

The 17-year-old will be in action on Thursday evening at the Bahrain Darts Masters, where he takes on Filipino darts icon Lourence Ilagan in the first round.

Littler is one of eight PDC representatives in the competition, with Luke Humphries, Rob Cross, Stephen Bunting, Gerwyn Price, Nathan Aspinall, Chris Dobey and Peter Wright also involved against eight Asian players.

Speaking ahead of the tournament, Littler said: "I've got a brand new set of darts. I'm not going to throw with the darts I won the World Championship with - they're going to be in a frame, so now it's about breaking in a new set.

"I can't wait for when John McDonald calls me out for the first time as world champion. I had a tough game against Lourence at the Grand Slam, and I cannot wait to get back on stage now. It feels good to be back and hopefully I can win ... retaining my title would be a great present going into my 18th birthday!"
