Darts fans couldn't believe what world number one Luke Humphries tried to do during his 6-4 Premier League quarter-final defeat to Michael van Gerwen.
Humphries went into his last eight tie in Cardiff knowing that he would go above Luke Littler at the top of the table if he could better his result.
'Cool Hand Luke' went 4-1 up after breaking Van Gerwen's throw, but then lost four consecutive legs to the Dutchman.

He did at least have an opportunity to then level at 5-5 and take the match to a deciding leg - but it all went badly wrong.
Humphries left 80 with Van Gerwen back on 124, meaning he had two leg darts potentially on the horizon.
But instead of going for a single 20 with his first dart - which would have given him at least one leg-winning opportunity - he instead tried to hit two double 20s.
Had he hit it, it would have given him two shots at another double tops, with a good marker.

However, Humphries completely missed the board with his first dart, before hitting double five to leave himself not on a finish.
On commentary, Wayne Mardle said: "That... I cannot believe what I've just seen. That, he knows that is ridiculous."
And two-time world champion John Part, who was alongside him, agreed: "Yeah... silliness."
Van Gerwen then took out 25 to win 6-4 and progress to the semi-finals on week seven.
And Mardle wasn't the only one who was struggling to understand Humphries' decision.

Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: "Humphries trying to do tops tops to stay in the match was just a bit questionable."
Another said: "Why go for two double tops there? Criminal from Humphries."
A third added: "What on earth was that Humphries tops tops."
And a fourth wrote: "Love Luke Humphries, but going for double double top with three darts in his hands was crazy."

Humphries followed Stephen Bunting out at the quarter-final stage, with 'The Bullet' losing 6-2 to Chris Dobey and continuing his winless streak in this year's Premier League.
