A darts player who will feature at the Bahrain Masters has explained why he will not appear on the main PDC Tour in the coming months.
Lok Yin Lee, a two-time winner on the PDC Asian Tour, is regarded by many as one of Asia's top emerging stars, especially after last month's win over Chris Landman on his Ally Pally debut.
The 23-year-old won an incredible nine legs on the bounce against Landman to book his place in the World Championship second round against Brendan Dolan – a match he went on to lose 3-0.

After that victory over Landman, however, Lee made a heartbreaking statement about his future as he ruled out attending Q School.
"In 2021 I tried Q School already. But it's hard to finish it for me. Because the money and my family cannot let me try Q School," he said.
"The money is more important for trying Q-School. Maybe next year I will prepare myself and get ready for the next year."

Q School, also known as Qualifying School, is an event which allows any player over the age of 16, including amateurs, the chance to earn a PDC Tour Card, which in turn pits them against some of the world's best.
Lee, who has represented Hong Kong at the last three World Cup of Darts, was delighted with his victory over Landman last month.
"For me it is a first experience on the stage but I really want to thank my fans, friends and family who support me and my sponsors thank you. I am really happy about that," he said at the time.
"Ally Pally has got a lot of fans and a lot of people behind me. I think the stress is more than the World Cup!"

He added: "Only one person plays on stage, for the World Cup I have a partner behind me so this time I think, ‘Wow’. Really happy about it and I really want to try my best."
Lee will take on world number nine Gerywn Price in the first round of this year's Bahrain Darts Masters.
