It transpires that it is not only the Manchester City fans that are excited about the club’s acquisition of Erling Haaland, but also the striker’s new teammates.
Ever since Haaland, 21, joined Manchester City from Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund last month, the hype has built for the arrival of the Norwegian in Manchester.
By making the decision to join City, in a deal worth £51.2 million, Erling Haaland is following in the footsteps of his father Alfie, who also turned out for the Citizens in his playing career.

Understandably, it is the transfer of one of Europe’s top attacking talents that has caught the eye of the Manchester City faithful and the media alike.
However, it did not take long for City to make their second signing of the summer.
Stefan Ortega completed a free transfer to the Citizens later on in June, from German outfit Arminia Bielefeld.

Despite the club eventually succumbing to Bundesliga relegation, the goalkeeper produced a brilliant previous season, conceding just 53 goals - which is as many as title challengers and Erling Haaland’s old side Dortmund.
Ortega, 29, is no stranger to Haaland either, with the pair facing off several times in Germany last season, and with the keeper failing to concede a single goal from Manchester City’s new number nine.
After both transfers being announced last month, the duo are now both in England and on the same team for the first time.
The Premier League champions hosted an event on Sunday to present new signings Haaland, Ortega and Julian Alvarez to the sky blue faithful.

While at the presentation, all three players were quizzed on a number of topics and new goalkeeper Ortega had some Haaland themed questions sent his way.
When asked in the presser about Haaland’s progression, the goalkeeper was full of praise for his new teammate.
“His transformation is outstanding," he opened.
"When I saw him the first time in Salzburg he was a bit thin, now he's a monster.

"With the size and feet and shooting quality he's the full package,” Ortega told reporters.
Manchester City’s new shot stopper is warranted to believe that way too, with Erling Haaland proving to be extremely clinical in the scoring department.
In his 88 games for Borussia Dortmund, the Norwegian forward notched a mammoth 85 goals as well as assisting a further 22.

Both Ortega and Haaland have shown a high level of quality in the Bundesliga, and Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola will be hoping that they can continue to perform at such a prominent level in the Premier League as well.
