Phil Foden Set To Sign Bumper Six-Year Manchester City Deal

Since being handed consistent starts at the end of the 2019/20 season, Phil Foden has not looked back for even a second.

During his first full campaign as a regular starter for his boyhood club, the ‘Stockport Iniesta’ emerged as one of Manchester City’s most key performers in their Premier League title triumph and first-ever run to the Champions League final.

Further details reveal that while the England international was prepared to sign a fresh deal on a £150,000-a-week, the silky playmaker decided to wait until the end of the season to commit his future with the club that has led to such a handsome pay rise.

It is claimed that the four-time Premier League champion wanted to assess the wages the likes of Erling Haaland would receive before signing a new deal.

However, it has been emphasised that Foden never had any desire to leave Manchester City.

With the Norwegian set to match Kevin De Bruyne as the highest earning footballers in the Premier League by bagging a whopping £400,000-a-week, the Sky Blues’ number 47 is set to be on half of the staggering numbers.

Ultimately, the Englishman will earn an extra £15 million in wages for the next six seasons, which is the type of figure that his masterful performances have earned up until this point.
