Manchester City's priority transfer target in the left-back role has teased a transfer to the Etihad Stadium in a flurry of social media activity on Friday night.
The hints from the Catalan defender came amid news of a financial agreement being reached between the Premier League champions and Leeds United for midfielder Kalvin Phillips.
As per various well-placed sources, Manchester City have agreed an initial £42 million transfer fee for the England international, with a further £3 million included in potential add-ons.

Phillips is set to become the summer's second addition to Pep Guardiola's title-winning squad, following on from the successful pursuit of Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland in an initial £51 million deal.
However, even before the club have announced any sort of agreement or deal for Kalvin Phillips, it now appears as though their third target of the summer is struggling to contain his excitement.
That target is Brighton & Hove Albion left-back Marc Cucurella - who has been identified by Manchester City officials and coaches as being the ideal candidate to take on the reigns of the club's first choice left-sided full-back from next season.

Manchester City will almost certainly have to pay up though, with the south coast club seeking a fee in excess of £40 million for a player they signed for just £15 million last summer.
In between that time, Cucurella has enjoyed a hugely impressive debut Premier League season, and one that has captured the imaginations of those in key decision making roles at the City Football Academy.
While the likes of Fabrizio Romano broke the news of Manchester City's successful hunt for Kalvin Phillips, the Brighton defender couldn't hide his excitement, as he interacted with various related posts on both Instagram and Twitter.

Firstly, the 23 year-old was swift to hit like on Romano's Instagram post reporting the significant breakthrough moment concerning Manchester City and Phillips.
It didn't stop there though.
When fans on Twitter were made aware of the engagement from the Brighton defender on Twitter through City Xtra's account, Marc Cucurella was keen to show his approval of the reveal, as he once again interacted with related posts.
In case some were in any doubt, it was once again reaffirmed by Fabrizio Romano later on Friday evening that Manchester City's next priority transfer target would be Marc Cucurella.

However, given the player's recent activity on social media platforms, there is of course a theory that behind the scenes, this deal may in fact already be complete.
We may have to wait a little while before we find out for sure, though.
