Manchester City are set to complain to the Premier League.
The Premier League Champions suffered their first defeat of the campaign away to Liverpool on Sunday afternoon, as Manchester City fell four points behind Arsenal in the emerging title race.
City suffered their first away defeat in the Premier League since a loss to Spurs in August 2021, with a troubled Liverpool side edging past the Blues in a hotly contested affair.

Mo Salah capitalised on a Joao Cancelo mistake in the 76th minute, with the Egyptian's goal separating last season's top two come the full-time whistle.
Erling Haaland had numerous half chances throughout the match, as Liverpool edged a cagey affair at Anfield.
City did think they had themselves taken lead early in the second-half, as Phil Foden smashed home from an acute angle following some smart work from Haaland.

Foden's goal was however disallowed after a VAR review, with Haaland adjudged to have fouled Fabinho in the build-up.
The decision infuriated manager Pep Guardiola, who was allegedly attacked by coins following the review.
Jack Gaughan reported midway through the second-half that the Sky Blues were "alleging that coins were thrown at Pep Guardiola in the aftermath of the disallowed goal."

Post-match, Guardiola seemingly confirmed these reports, saying: “They try, but they didn’t touch me. Next time, they’ll be better.
"They got it on the coach years ago, but not this time."
Manchester City are now set to lodge an official complaint to the Premier League in regards to the incident.
Mike Mcgrath reports that the Sky Blues are set to complain to the league after Guardiola was alleged to be targeted with coins thrown from the crowd at Anfield.

Sunday's alleged incident isn’t the first involving Manchester City staff in the dugout and Liverpool supporters.
Last season the Merseyside club opened an investigation after a fan allegedly spat at a member of the Blues' backroom staff during an enthralling 2-2 draw.
In 2018, Liverpool were fined €20,000 by UEFA after a violent attack on the Manchester City team bus prior to a Champions League quarter-final.

The damage to the bus resulted in a replacement being needed to take City players and staff back to Manchester from Anfield.
