It has now been confirmed when Manchester City will take on Liverpool in the Carabao Cup fourth round.
Pep Guardiola's side confirmed their place in the next round of the competition with a 2-0 win over Chelsea last week.
A special free-kick from Riyad Mahrez was followed up by a well-worked counter-attacking move, finished off by Julian Alvarez.

The match-defining goals from the aforementioned attacking pair were also complimented by an exemplary goalkeeping performance from Stefan Ortega - Manchester City's back-up option between the sticks.
As for Jurgen Klopp and his Liverpool squad, they found life in the third round slightly more difficult.
A 0-0 draw against Championship side Derby County meant that penalties were in order at Anfield, due to competition rules this season ruling out extra-time.
Subsequently, it was the Premier League giants who progressed into the fourth round draw, with a 3-2 win over the Rams in a nervy shoot-out.

Manchester City drew their English top-flight rivals Liverpool in the draw, and with the World Cup causing plenty of complications for fixture organisers, the match will be played between the final of the tournament and Christmas Eve.
It has now been confirmed that the Carabao Cup fourth round tie between the pair will take place at the Etihad Stadium on Thursday 22nd December, with kick-off scheduled for 20:00 GMT.
The match will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
