Despite possessing such world-class quality on the field, it is the collective spirit off the field that means Manchester City can set such high standards.
The most important of all - of course - is first-team manager Pep Guardiola, who has won four Premier League titles since his appointment in 2016.
He has also cycled through various assistant managers during his stint, including Juanma Lillo the now-Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta.

As seen during the various title celebrations and parades, the Catalan also has a large group of backroom staff that helps it tick behind the scenes.
During various documentaries, the players often note their friendly relationship with the staff and how it helps them forget about football for a while.

Even further down the pecking order, the success of the City academy speaks volumes about the elite levels of coaching that occurs at all levels.

Last season, the EDS and U18's sides won their respective Premier League competitions.
But, even more impressively, they did the same in the season previous - showing the same levels of domination the senior team has produced.
To attain these levels, you need a world-class recruitment team.
City certainly have that and constantly have some of the countries best talent emerging from the CFA.

One example above all the rest is Stockport-born Phil Foden, who has gone on to already win nine major trophies in his fledgling career.

The people in charge of finding and acquiring this talent is Joe Shields, who took up the position of Head of Academy Recruitment and Talent Management.
Earlier today, the club took a massive blow when it was announced by Southampton that they had appointed Shields as their new Head of Senior Recruitment.

That ends a nine-year stint at the Etihad Stadium, where he has been responsible for finding some of the finest youth talent across the globe.
There are various success stories of players recruited by Shield's that have gone on to have first-team careers elsewhere.
City will be hoping whoever is next in the role will have a similar impact and continue producing the conveyer belt of talent.
The £200 million state-of-the-art City Football Academy complex is perfect for any up and coming footballer, so it's likely that success will continue.
