The latest on Nathan Ake, Jack Grealish and Kyle Walker ahead of FC Barcelona vs Manchester City (Charity Friendly)

Pep Guardiola could be without four Manchester City players for Wednesday's clash with FC Barcelona.

The two European heavyweights meet at the Camp Nou on Wednesday evening in a charity friendly.

Raising funds for ALS research at the Luzon Foundation, Wednesday’s match surrounds former Barcelona goalkeeper Juan Carlos Unzue, who was diagnosed with the condition over two years ago. 

Unze played under Pep Guardiola and was the goalkeeping coach of the Catalan’s team between 2008 and 2010.

City have spent the week training in Girona, travelling to Spain following Sunday's enthralling 3-3 draw with Newcastle United in the Premier League.

Erling Haaland and Bernardo Silva both scored in the second-half, as City came back from 3-1 down to rescue a point against the Magpies.

The Sky Blues will be looking to bounce back to winning ways on Saturday, when they welcome Crystal Palace to the Etihad Stadium.

Before the weekend, the Premier League Champions face La Liga heavyweights Barcelona, and ahead of the charity friendly, here is all the latest team news regarding both sides.

Barcelona boss Xavi has named a 27 man squad for Wednesday's clash with Manchester City at the Nou Camp:

Ter Stegen, Dest, Piqué, R. Araujo, Sergio, O. Dembélé, Pedri, Lewandowski, Ansu Fati, Ferran, Memphis, Christensen, Pjanic, Aubameyang, Jordi Alba, Kessie, S. Roberto, F. De Jong, Raphinha, Kounde, Eric, Iñaki Peña, Abde, Balde, Gavi, Pablo Torre and Arnau Tenas.

Manchester City Team News:

Aymeric Laporte remains unavailable, as the Spain international continues his recovery from an injury sustained at the backend of the 2021/22 campaign.

Fellow centre-back Nathan Ake is also not expected to play any part in Wednesday’s match, after the Dutchman was forced off with a groin problem at St James' Park on Sunday.

Jack Grealish also missed the trip to Tyneside due to injury, with Pep Guardiola saying pre-match that: "He (Grealish) had an incredible blow in the last game against Bournemouth in the last minutes.

"We're lucky it was just a little, little, little damage to his ligament, but not much. He feels better, but not ready for today."

Grealish was not pictured in Manchester City training on Tuesday.

Also not pictured was right-back Kyle Walker.

The 32 year-old, along with goalkeeping veteran Scott Carson, could not be seen in a joint photo with the Girona team.

It must be stressed however that the aforementioned players' absence from training photos does not necessarily mean they are suffering from any injury problems.
