As we edge towards a summer of transfer speculation concerning some of Manchester City's ever-present first-team names, one figure who is almost certainly set to be at the centre of talk is forward star, Gabriel Jesus.
The Brazilian international is understood to be seeking a move away from the Etihad Stadium, as he eyes improved game time in an effort to solidify his place at the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
While moves into the continent are almost certainly going to be considered - such as interest and potential offers from the likes of Italy and Spain - a move elsewhere in the Premier League remains in the equation, and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has provided an update concerning two clubs' hopes of signing the former Palmeiras man.

Speaking during a new interview, Fabrizio Romano has stated that Arsenal are, and have been for a long time, leading the race for Manchester City's number 9 at present, despite talk in recent days concerning and interest from their North London rivals, Tottenham.
Romano explained on the situation surrounding the aforementioned two clubs, "At the moment, there is no bid to Manchester City (from Tottenham) but there are contacts between the representatives of Gabriel Jesus and Tottenham."
"Let me say that Arsenal have been leading the race for him since a long time ago, with the Brazilian connection with Edu Gaspar - who has been working on it since a long time. Arsenal are really interested in Gabriel Jesus."

"For Tottenham, they are discussing with his agents, they had conversations with his agents, so for Gabriel (Jesus) it's a possibility, but it's important for the player to understand what will be the plan because Gabriel Jesus is leaving Manchester City this summer, but he wants to play, he wants to be a key player at the next club he will join."
Fabrizio Romano continued, "This is why, at the moment, for Gabriel it is important to understand what is the plan - for example, for Tottenham or any other club that wants to sign him. At Manchester City, he had a good time, but now he thinks it's time to leave because he wants to be a key player for his next club."
Gabriel Jesus is expected to make a final decision on his future with Manchester City in the coming days, as his focus turns away from duties with the Brazilian national team, and onto his next steps at club level.
