Manchester City striker Erling Haaland is being compared to one of Manchester United and Arsenal's all-time greats by people within the club, it has been revealed.
The Norwegian international has got off to a record-breaking start to life in Manchester.
In just his first seven Premier League games so far, Erling Haaland has scored 11 goals, accompanied by a singular assist in the process.
Elsewhere, Haaland has also scored three goals from his first two Champions League games for Manchester City, taking his total to 15 goal contributions from his first 10 games for the club.

That return has unsurprisingly earned him comparisons to some of the Premier League's finest ever goalscorers, and within Manchester City itself, it appears as though officials are making their own judgements.
According to the information of The Times, one senior staff member at Manchester City has likened Erling Haaland’s ability to be in the right place at the right time to that of Robin van Persie.
The former Manchester United and Arsenal frontman retired from the English game with a remarkable goalscoring record.

Across 280 Premier League appearances in total, Van Persie scored a staggering 144 goals, winning 153 games in the process.
That is the sort of return that Manchester City will be wanting to see from their new man up front, but at this rate, it would come as no surprise to see Erling Haaland blitz such a record.
Another fan of the Etihad Stadium's number nine is a member of royalty.

The King of Norway, Harald V is also quoted as praising Erling Haaland following his recent goalscoring exploits that have thrown Norway as a country towards the top of football pedigree.
Speaking earlier this season, the King of Norway said of Haaland, “He is a wonderful, special footballer."
Although Erling Haaland will be absent from the upcoming 2022 World Cup, it will give the Manchester City striker plenty of time to recharge his batteries midway through the season.

The former Borussia Dortmund star will be hoping he is the difference between Manchester City winning the Champions League and missing out once again.
However, alongside that particular accolade is of course the Premier League title, as Pep Guardiola and his players look to continue their domination of the division.
Manchester City have won four of the last five Premier League titles available.
