Erling Haaland has won the Premier League Player of the Month award for August, it has been confirmed.
The 22 year-old, who signed from Borussia Dortmund for £51 million in the summer, picked up the award after an impressive start to life in England.
Haaland has scored in his past six consecutive matches for Manchester City, most recently against his former club Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League.

The Norwegian acrobatically put the Sky Blues into the lead in the 84th minute, as Pep Guardiola's side came from behind to move three points clear at the top of their Champions League Group.
Haaland has scored an impressive 13 goals for Manchester City in all competitions so far, nine of which came in the opening month of the campaign.
Highlights included a debut brace against West Ham United at the London Stadium and back-to-back hat-tricks at the Etihad Stadium.

Haaland's first Premier League hat-trick came against Crystal Palace, as City came from 2-0 down to beat the Eagles 4-2.
The Blues' new number nine would collect another match ball four days later, after scoring another three goals against Nottingham Forest.
Haaland's scintillating start to the season has resulted in the 22 year-old being named as the Premier League Player of the Month for August.
Reacting to winning the award, Haaland told ManCity.com, "I am delighted to win this award for the first time – it was an incredible start of the season for the team and I am grateful to everyone who voted."

He continued, “We all wanted to hit the ground running this season, so winning four games out of five was a great start for us in what is the most challenging competition in the world. I am happy to have played my part by scoring goals.
“What’s important is the result and to help the team. Hopefully, I can continue to support the team, make our fans happy with our performances and carry on our strong start to the season.”
The Manchester City star was nominated for the award alongside Pascal Gross, Gabriel Jesus, Aleksandar Mitrovic, Martin Odegaard, Nick Pope, Rodrigo and Wilf Zaha.
Haaland becomes the first City player to win the award since Raheem Sterling in December last year.

Sterling, who completed a transfer to Chelsea in the summer, won the award after being directly involved in six goals.
Haaland however was directly involved in ten goals last month, scoring nine and assisting once.

Haaland has continued his goalscoring form into September, and will hope to once again be on the scoresheet this weekend, when City travel to the Midlands to face Wolves.
The Sky Blues can move to the top of the Premier League table with a win, and will also be looking to extend their unbeaten start to the campaign against Bruno Lage's side.
Kevin De Bruyne scored a hat-trick the last time City visited Molineux, and having drawn their previous two away matches in the Premier League, the Blues will be hoping for a result on Saturday afternoon.
