Bernardo Silva’s spell at Manchester City is all but over ahead of the new campaign, according to a new report from Spain, which has outlined the midfielder's desire to take up a new challenge.
By assessing the latest reports on his time at the Etihad Stadium over the past week, it has seemed like a majority of the speculation around Bernardo Silva’s future has been inclined towards the 27-year-old's five-year spell at Manchester City coming to an end.
It was recently revealed by popular Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo that the Portuguese and manager Pep Guardiola have a 'secret pact’ that will allow his departure to be approved if the club receive a sizeable fee for the playmaker's services this summer.

Additionally, it was claimed that Pep Guardiola has made Bernardo Silva available in the transfer market ahead of next season, with several top European clubs having the license to prise away one of the most gifted midfielders in world football away from Manchester.
Once again, a brand-new revelation has emerged that makes a strong claim about the former AS Monaco star eyeing a Manchester City exit in the ongoing transfer window.
As per a report by Mundo Deportivo, as translated and relayed by Sport Witness, Bernardo Silva considers his time at Manchester City is ‘over’, as his sights are set on the start of a ‘fresh adventure’ elsewhere.
With Silva again being heavily linked with a move to Barcelona, it is understood his agent Jorge Mendes informed the Catalan heavyweights in a recent meeting about his client’s desire of heading to the Camp Nou this summer.

In addition, Mendes also ‘wanted’ to discover how possible it was for Silva’s transfer to Xavi’s side to come to fruition, with Manchester City likely to demand a huge fee for an indispensable part of their midfield.
The report highlights that ‘initial contacts’ are said to have taken place between both clubs, but no formal negotiations as well as offers have been made yet.
Despite the speculation pointing towards Bernardo Silva being tipped for a move to Barcelona, it was also recently reported that the Premier League champions plan to price the Blaugrana out of a move by demanding a fee upwards of £80 million - during a time when the Spanish giants are widely known to be in the midst of another financial crisis.

While only time will tell whether Bernardo Silva does fancy a move to Barcelona or elsewhere in general, Manchester City will certainly not let one of their biggest assets depart the club without making sure business is conducted on their own terms.
