Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury square off this Saturday in one of the most hotly anticipated rematches in recent years.
And when the heavyweight megastars take to the ring, their title bout will be overseen by an experimental AI scoring system.
The virtual judge will not replace human scorers at ringside in Riyadh, with three conventional judges remaining in place. Rather, the AI-powered scoring system will provide an extra layer of intrigue and analysis, without contributing to the official scorecard.

Turki Alalshikh, the chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, announced that the innovative system will be in use for the fight in a post on X, while also confirming that it "won’t impact the official results".
"For the first time ever, an AI-powered judge will monitor the fight," Alalshikh wrote.

"Free from bias and human error brought to you by The Ring. This groundbreaking experiment, which won’t impact the official results, debuts during the biggest fight of the century."
Meanwhile, Fury – who lost a split decision to Usky last time the two boxers met in May this year, the first defeat of his career – insists the fight won't be going to the scorecards.
"The mission has never been undisputed. It’s never been my mission. It’s been other people’s missions," Fury told TNT Sports.
"My mission is to smash this f***er's face right in on Saturday night. There’s no chance he can beat me. None."
