Instead, the boxing legend promoted his shock clash against Jake Paul, which was announced during Joshua vs. Ngannou fight week.
Tyson shared details of his bout against Paul, which takes place on July 20, carried by Netflix.
The 57-year-old clearly knew what he was doing by posting his tweet immediately after the conclusion of Joshua vs. Ngannou.
It would have been a deliberate ploy to announce and promote Tyson vs. Paul on the week of Joshua vs. Ngannou.

The announcement of Tyson vs. Paul came on Thursday as they looked to piggyback off the buzz of the Riyadh showdown.
Eddie Hearn hit out at the booking, but Paul's promoter Nakisa Bidarian believes it will be the biggest boxing event in in the sport's modern history.

"Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson is a once-in-a-lifetime dream matchup and I anticipate it will be the most-watched boxing event in modern boxing history," he said in a statement.
